 The last of the Gundam F91 spinoffs, Silhouette Formula 91 initially existed purely as a model kit series, without even the fig leaf of a simultaneous comic series as with Gundam F90. The kits, most of them gaudy reworkings of the F91 designs, were released between March 1992 and March 1993.

A belated comic adaptation did eventually arrive. Created by Hiroshi Yasuda, the Silhouette Formula 91 comic followed the story established in the model kit manuals, and the end result was surprisingly good - one of the better Gundam comics, in fact.
